$2,341.60 to $2,575.76 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes occasional evenings or weekends as necessary. Performs skilled professional work preparing department Budget Change Requests (BCRs); assisting with the preparation of the department budget; and coordinating the resolution of issues related to Budget, Human Resources, Finance, and Purchasing. Work includes interpreting and implementing policies and procedures that require significant analysis and good judgment.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a closely related fieldPLUSthree (3) years experience in program budget development and administration, including capital budgeting, policy planning, management analysis, and data processing applications. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a closely related field is preferred. Certification as a Government Finance Officer is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
