Responsibilities

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services is set in quiet, residential areas in Maitland and Winter Park, Florida. We treat individuals ranging from adolescents to adults. La Amistad is a voluntary treatment facility with three levels of care: residential, PHP and IOP. La Amistad has been an industry leader in behavioral health for over fifty years and is fortunate to enjoy one of the lowest staff turnover rates, compared to other RTC facilities, within Universal Health Services (parent company). Clinically, LABHS specializes in treating trauma, mood disturbances, substance use disorders and thought disorders.

Mental Health Techninian Supervisor

Supervises the Milieu Coordinators and the MHT's on the Maitland and Winter Park Campuses.

Responsible for developing and maintaining clinical staffing schedules and documenting those schedules on Shift Hound. Makes ongoing adjustments to the schedule as needed in response to unit needs. Responsible for partnering with Human Resource Department and Milieu Coordinators related to ongoing required documentation for clinical and administrative compliance. Responsible for coordination of trainings for MHT's. Assists the Milieu Coordinator's with supervision of MHT's as deemed appropriate by the Director of Clinical Services. In conjunction with the HR, responsible for hiring and assimilation of new MHT'S staff. All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred. Experience may substitute for education.

Experience:

One year of experience in a mental health setting. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Positive leadership skills, excellent resident interaction and milieu management skills are required.

License/Certification:

Must obtain and maintain CPR certification and Florida Driver's License.

Skills:

Demonstrates ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Demonstrates emotional stability and dependability. Must have good driving record and current driver's license. Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state and federal levels.

Physical Requirements:

Extensive walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs. Must be able to lift over fifty (50lbs) pounds.
