Jr. Data Analyst

LOCATION: Arlington, VA

LinTech Global Inc. is recruiting for a Jr. Data Analyst to support our contract at USPSOIG in Arlington, Virginia.

Position Overview:



  • Works with agile teams including software developers, business intelligence developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to create, review, and implement logical and physical data models
  • Creates views and models of denormalized data for reporting systems
  • Reviews and optimizes queries, data models, and data security in existing systems
  • Creates synthetic data for testing purposes
  • Develops and implements data pipelines using ETL tools
  • Documents data assets


Requirements:



  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and experience in creating logical and physical data models
  • Experience transforming logical business requirements into appropriate data pipeline solutions
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate Entity Relation Diagrams, data dictionaries, record layouts, and logic flow diagrams
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles including, dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and ETL best practices
  • Experience supporting and maintaining database systems and related architecture
  • Database performance analysis and tuning experience to identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and ensure optimal data flows
  • Experience creating views and modeling of denormalized data for reporting systems
  • Proficiency in planning and deploying database changes across deployment environments
  • Experience with generating synthetic data that satisfies both data privacy and testing objectives
  • Strong knowledge of common database languages


Desired Experience:



  • Previous consulting experience utilizing an agile delivery methodology
  • Experience using scripting languages for data manipulation, transformation, and loading within ETL pipelines to support data pipeline jobs
  • Familiar with highly available database solutions and architectures in enterprise environments
  • Industry-recognized database certifications in enterprise-scale data systems, such as Microsoft SQL and Oracle.


Required Experience:



  • 5+ years' experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions for data integration in enterprise environments
  • 5+ years' experience working in or supporting project teams
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
