Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory in the Welding/Cutting & FORD Class Operations unit! This team has an opening for an experienced mechanical engineer. FORD Class Operations personnel are cognizant of the processes, procedures, and technical engineering support necessary to assemble and install the power units into the FORD Class aircraft carriers. Responsibilities include: This position is primarily focused on the work in the FORD Class operations portion of the unit, but it will also support welding/cutting projects as needed. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or SRE qualified. Preferred Skills
Mechanical engineer, proficiency with 3D modeling, familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range
$76,400.00 - $117,000.00 annually
