Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Indirect Lending Sales Rep. Primary Function: Drive business results by expanding the Credit Union's indirect auto loan portfolio through effective relationship building with new and existing intermediaries such as dealerships, retailers or digital brokers. Promote the credit union brand, identify new growth opportunities, and recognize relevant trends in the local market.


Responsibilities

  • Achieve & exceed sales targets by actively seeking new partnerships and maximizing loan origination through existing channels.

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase indirect program participation. Expand Credit Union market share by developing new third party relationships. Maintain regular and effective contact with business partners through face to face, phone and electronic methods. Train finance and back office personnel to ensure that quality applications and loan documentation are received. Conduct due diligence on new and existing partners.

  • Be aware of key dealership performance metrics including charge-off, delinquency, applications, approvals, and close ratios. Update management and other team members regarding any pertinent dealership risk issues and provide potential solutions.
  • Educate partners and their staff on the benefits and features of the financial products HVCU represents.
  • Coordinate with department management and credit area and contribute and provide input to group loan decision process based on evaluation of credit risk and other key factors.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, program changes or enhancements. Recommend program changes, including payment structures to encourage loan growth, increase market share and improve asset quality.
  • Act as a liaison between Credit Union staff and indirect partners to address complaints, problems, issues, procedure and program changes, etc.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities.   • Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate is required.
  • Associate's Degree in Buisnes sor related field is preferred.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • Minimum 3 years Retail experience or experience in the Indirect Lending industry, including but not limited to loan application, loan granting and a working knowledge of regulations governing financial institutions
