We are currently seeking a mid-level BIM Coordinator to be part of our Structural team in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently creating project 3D models and construction documents by collaborating with Project Managers, Structural Engineers, and other Design Associates.

A Structural BIM Coordinator must be able to understand architectural and civil plans in addition to engineering sketches and notes to successfully produce complete, accurate, and consistent structural construction documents. Duties of the position are as follows:

Responsibilities

    Act as the intermediary between design team and clients so that projects remain efficient and effective
  • Ensure BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to plan and execute design in order to complete drawings with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate setup and update models based on architectural, civil and MEP models
  • Create as-needed Revit families for project
  • Audit project models and flag non-compliances with project and industry standards.
  • Assist leadership in meetings to identify project BIM tasks and resolve issues
  • Document and train staff, specifically in REVIT, Unifi and CIVIL 3D and other design software as appropriate
  • Raise the profile of BIM tools across the department
  • Keep up to date with advancements in building technology


Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or Diploma in Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design (preferred but not required) or engineering degree.
  • 5-10 years' experience using REVIT, along with experience in Auto CAD and Civil 3D
  • The ability to create geolocation models and overlay them with survey and civil files.
  • Able to demonstrate their modelling capabilities
  • Proficient in developing clean, parametric Revit families utilizing formulas
  • Eager to support staff with positive attitude, passion and patience
  • Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a project team
  • Good verbal communication and technical writing skills

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
