Instructional Designer is responsible forcreating engaging learning experiences by designing and developing educational content, utilizing instructional design theories and methods, collaborating with subject matter experts, and leveraging multimedia tools to facilitate effective knowledge acquisition across diverse audiences, often with a focus on utilizing technology to enhance the learning process.

As an Instructional Designer, you will:

  • Work with Training Manager to support, coordinate, and execute the Learning and Development training strategy and objectives.
  • Work with Training Manager to develop enterprise-wide training initiatives that support the vision of the L&D team.
  • Identifying training needs and learning objectives by collaborating with stakeholders to understand required knowledge and skills.
  • Design training through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, webinars, virtual training and on-the-job training.
  • Design comprehensive learning plans, including lesson structure, activities, assessments, and sequencing of content.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and departments to design, deliver, revise and support training curriculum and project deliverables.
  • Keep up to date with and maintain records through utilization of Learning Management System (LMS) and online course software for employee education opportunities.
  • Keep current on all policies, procedures, and banking knowledge essential to educating tellers, bankers, and other banking staff.
  • Learn and implement techniques to be creative and engaging in assigned areas of training delivery. Strive for continuous personal development in training design and development.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working in training/learning in an instructional design capacity.
  • Prior banking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven Microsoft Office skills in Word, PowerPoint, and excel necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools and learning management systems.
  • Project management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to analyze data and interpret results to inform design decisions.
  • Creative thinking and visual design skills to develop engaging learning materials.
  • Technical skills in multimedia development, including video editing and graphic design.
