As the Human Resource Generalist, you will work on a team to administer the Company's substance abuse, onboarding and offboarding programs, and support general HR functions. To be successful in this position, you will need to be detailed orientated, dedicated to superior customer service and able to thrive in a fast paced work environment. Essential Job Functions:
- Administers the company's substance abuse program in compliance with FAA and company-directed initiatives and programs.
- Ensures proper DOT and Non-DOT classification of team members, coordinates on-site and off-site team member testing with collection sites, maintains substance abuse records, prepares and monitors follow-up testing schedules, and prepares annual reports.
- Communicates with company's EAP, team members and managers regarding positive test results and the requirements and activities following a positive test. Prepares and follows-up on letters for new team members' previous drug and alcohol testing records.
- Assists with DER (Designated Employee Representative) duties to support reasonable suspicion testing determinations and assist with any Drug Abatement Audits at any Duncan Aviation location. NOTE: possible after normal business hours support may be necessary.
- Performs new hire onboarding activities to include: preparing and sending new hire offer letters, coordinating pre-employment drug tests, distributing and collecting required new hire paperwork, reviewing documents to complete I-9 forms, and providing information regarding relocation when applicable. Provides assistance to hiring managers in navigating and completing offers through the Applicant Tracking System.
- Coordinates off-boarding for team members separating employment. May partner with department management, Professional Development Team, Credit department, etc. Tracks and identifies turnover trends based data and feedback from exit interview.
- Assists with projects and special assignments related to HR functions in support of the Company's strategic business objectives. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related Human Resource, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field of study or equivalent required
- Proficiency with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Project, etc.) required
- Previous HR or related experience preferred
