Sentara is searching for a Physician Assistant or Acute-Care Nurse Practitioner to join its high-performing Orthopedic Trauma Service at Sentara Norfolk General (Level I Trauma and Burn Center) and Sentara Virginia Beach General (Level III Trauma Center).

With the help of the hospital-based Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and EMS partners in surrounding communities, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital receives trauma patients within a 125-mile radius, from Virginia's Northern Neck to Ocracoke Island on North Carolina's Outer Banks. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Position Highlights:

  • Join a high-performing team of six orthopedic surgeons and six Advanced Practice Providers
  • Rotating schedule to include: Outpatient clinic (8a-4p), Inpatient rounding (7a-5p)
  • Call Schedule: 1:7 Weekend Call
  • Duties include: OR First Assist, splinting, casting, injections, incisions/draining, cyst removal, staple removal, wound care, etc.
