Within this team, the Enterprise Lean Office (ELO) is dedicated to embedding the Lean Operating System across the company to enhance decision-making, streamline daily work, improve customer outcomes, and drive operational excellence @ PG&E. The ELO provides enterprise-wide tools and resources to support the adoption of Lean principles, fostering: * An empowered workforce with greater autonomy and problem-solving capabilities. * Increased transparency into work processes, performance, and key business drivers. * More efficient collaboration, ensuring teams can quickly raise and resolve issues. * Stronger customer service and community impact through streamlined operations. Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lean Six Sigma professional to join our team as a Trainer, Facilitator, and Coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt or higher preferred) and a passion for teaching, coaching, and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging training programs, facilitate process improvement workshops, and provide coaching to individuals and teams to help them successfully implement Lean Six Sigma principles. Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills are essential to empower others and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Travel will be at least 20% of the time with some overnight stays. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) three days a week(Tues-Thurs). PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill beplaced between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum:$136,000 Bay Area Maximum$232,000 Job Responsibilities Teaching and Training * Experience in training or teaching Lean Six Sigma principles to individuals or groups, ideally in a formal setting (e.g., classroom, workshops, seminars). * Ability to develop and deliver engaging training materials on Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques (e.g., process mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen, 5S, PDCA etc.). * Proven track record of designing and facilitating learning programs that enhance participants' skills and knowledge. Coaching * Strong background in coaching individuals or teams through DMAIC/DMADV projects, helping them to apply concepts and tools effectively. * Experience in one-on-one coaching to help employees overcome barriers in their continuous improvement journeys * Coach and develop other Trainers/Facilitators/Coaches ("Train the Trainers"). * Ability to provide guidance and feedback during the implementation of Lean Six Sigma projects and initiatives. Facilitation * Experience in facilitating cross-functional teams through process improvement workshops, Kaizen events, or problem-solving sessions. * Excellent ability to lead group discussions and use facilitation techniques that promote participation and engagement. * Comfortable with managing group dynamics and helping teams reach consensus or solve complex problems. Project Management: * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and initiatives, particularly in a continuous improvement or Lean Six Sigma environment. * Experience leading or being a part of cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives. Analysis and Problem-Solving * Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to help students or teams identify opportunities for improvement and apply Lean Six Sigma techniques to solve them. * Experience with data-driven decision-making and using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI) to support projects. Qualifications Minimum: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Job-related experience, 10 years * Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) - Familiarity with Lean principles, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology, and continuous improvement practices * MS Excel skills to develop visual boards/charts, data analytics * Proven Teaching/Training Experience: At least 5 years of experience teaching or facilitating Lean Six Sigma concepts, either in a classroom, workshop, or corporate setting. * Coaching & Mentoring Experience: Demonstrated ability to coach teams and individuals through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies. * Strong Facilitation Skills: Ability to lead group discussions, Kaizen events, and process improvement workshops. * Excellent Communication Skills: Capable of delivering training, coaching, and feedback in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner. * Project Management Expertise: Experience in leading or supporting process improvement projects within a Lean Six Sigma environment. Desired: * Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSSMBB) * PowerBI analytics to develop visual boards and data processing * Experience in working with senior leadership * Value Stream Mapping * Change Management certification * Process Improvement certification Communication and Interpersonal Skills: * Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts in an easily understandable way. * Ability to engage and motivate a diverse audience, from executives to frontline staff. * Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence others, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
