The Foundation Development Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, and executing the marketing and communication strategy for Meriter Foundation. This role manages key fundraising projects such as the employee giving campaign, annual year-end appeals, comprehensive fundraising campaigns and events/in-person fundraising initiatives. Success in this position is achieved through strategic plan implementation, brand awareness efforts, and
support for fundraising activities, to drive revenue in support of the mission and vision of Meriter Foundation and UnityPoint Health - Meriter.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written skills. Team-oriented.
  • Problem Solving Motivation
  • Budget management
  • Teamwork
  • Managing priorities/deadlines Multicultural sensitivity.
  • Microsoft Office - heightened familiarity with Microsoft Word & Excel and Adobe. Photo/graphic creation knowledge a plus.
  • Donor and patient focused.
  • Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions
