Compensation Grade: P23Compensation Details: Minimum: $82,711.00 - Maximum: $82,711.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) PHEP - Office of Health Emergency PreparednessJob Description: Responsibilities The Medical Countermeasures Program Coordinator I will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the State Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Program and coordinate all Medical Countermeasures (MCM) Dispensing and Distribution planning with oversight of the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) program with Local Health Departments (LHD). The CRI is a federally- funded effort to prepare major U.S. cities and metropolitan areas to effectively respond to large-scale biological emergency events by dispensing antibiotics and/or appropriate medical countermeasures to their entire identified populations within 48 hours of the decision to do so. The incumbent will provide supervision for staff involved in the CRI Program. The incumbent will interface with other federal agencies, state agencies, and local partners involved in SNS and CRI activities and will serve as the liaison to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC} and Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) SNS Workgroups to support SNS planning and program evaluation. The incumbent will also develop plans, trainings, and exercises to test New York State and local level SNS plans and be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of data required by federal partners. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree and five years of relevant experience; OR seven years of relevant experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Relevant experience required must be in public health, emergency preparedness or emergency planning and/or response. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of public health and/or all-hazards emergency preparedness programs and planning efforts. Experience preparing narrative and numerical information into clear, logical reports and operational planning documents. Experience analyzing written and published program material to draw conclusions. Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a team. Experience developing presentational materials and communicate information through in-person and virtual presentations, trainings, or meeting environments. Demonstrated experience interacting with external partners such as Disaster Preparedness Commission agencies and Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition partners. Knowledge of disaster preparedness and response systems, including the Incident Command System. Successful course completion of lS 100, 200,700, and 800. Knowledge of software packages, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, may be required. This position will require occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
