Job Purpose



  • The PO Engineering Coordinator is responsible for ensuring New Model mass production readiness and maintaining sub-equipment and programming-related systems, including Robot EOAT, Laser programming, Molding machines, and Drill equipment. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. The Engineering Coordinator also oversees daily and monthly reporting, ensures operational standard accuracy, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Committed to achieving goals within the organization's guidelines and values, this role proactively addresses challenges, enhances production capabilities, and contributes to the overall success of manufacturing operations.



Key Accountabilities



  • Leads accident prevention and safety countermeasure initiatives to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Programs and optimizes Blow Mold and Injection Molding machines to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Leads structured training programs for associates on molding machine operations to improve technical proficiency.
  • Programs and maintains Laser and Drill machines to ensure precise and efficient production processes
  • Reviews and approves operational standard changes to maintain compliance and process integrity.
  • Designs, builds, assembles and adjusts robotic End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) to optimize automation and efficiency.
  • Implements equipment modifications to resolve recurring production issues and enhance reliability.
  • Supports new model readiness by preparing documentation, verifying conditions, and developing equipment scope of work.
  • Verifies tool and die designs using AutoCAD and CATIA, making necessary design modifications.
  • Provides technical support to production teams in daily operations, troubleshooting and optimizing processes as needed.



Required Education



  • Associate's degree in engineering



Required Experience



  • For an associate's degree: Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • For a bachelor's degree: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Prior experience in assembling project schedules and Gantt charts to track project progress.



Decisions Expected



  • Evaluates and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts; as well as SCM manufacturing characteristics.
  • Application timing of new features, products, or updates.
  • Make decisions about project progress and path forward.



Working Conditions



  • Requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), quality and production standards.
  • Work involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels, requiring hearing protection as necessary.
  • Collaboration with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • May require extended shifts, weekend work, or on-call support to meet production demands.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required for vendor visits, technical support, training, or process improvements.
