POSITION SUMMARY
The Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Support Navigator (FFN Support Navigator) directly supports the FFN program and works side by side with FFN Child Care Providers and program participants to provide technical assistance, consultation, training, and direct support with areas of need. They will work to develop and maintain relationships with FFN providers and participants to provide the support and resources that families determine important for the care of their children. They will work in collaboration with others to build family driven plans that focus on solutions and keep children engaged with providers.
The FFN Support Navigator will serve as a liaison and connect FFN Providers to each other to foster mutual support and thrive in community. They will work directly with the Logros Tempranos Lead Coordinator and Logros Tempranos team to support in the implementation and maintenance of several Child Care and Early Childhood training programs for FFN providers. They will work one-on-one with FFN providers interested in obtaining a Family Childcare License, partnering closely with Wayfinder Navigators and County liaisons throughout the process.

Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours/week. Monday - Friday Office hours, with some evening & weekend hours.
Estimated Pay: $20.60 - $22.50 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide step by step guidance on accessing trainings needed to obtain certification/licensing to become a certified/licensed child-care provider.
- Understand and communicate, in an effective manner, to participants the importance of engaging in educational and financial-related services for their success.
- Assist participants in identifying barriers to self-sufficiency and implementing solutions.
- Develop strategic plans and timelines that will assist participants with meeting realistic goals and objectives toward self-sufficiency.
- Curate and provide resources to participants needed for personal, educational, financial, and small business enhancement.
- Provide monthly progress and activities reports to program manager.
- Evaluate participant's overall situation by completing a participant needs assessment and making appropriate referrals to services that will remove barriers.
- Cultivate working relationships with current and potential service collaborators and/or partners.
- Maintain processes to collect relevant data to track and report upon outcomes in a timely manner according to program requirements and goals.
- Collaborate with CLUES programs and staff to achieve service integration.
- Coordinate and conduct outreach initiatives to promote program services, as well as CLUES services in general.
- Provide services in multiple locations (including participants homes) and through virtual platforms.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Experience & Key Abilities*
- Associate's degree or 2 years of experience in community outreach/organizing, social services or related field required.
- Bilingual Spanish and English with cultural competency required.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
- Must be highly knowledgeable regarding community resources and services. Existing knowledge and relationships with community partners and resource providers preferred.
- Experience in providing coaching and/or social services preferred.
- Experience managing and maintaining client tracking databases and/or spreadsheets required.
- Must be willing to work in a coaching-centered and collaborative environment and be willing to learn from peers and supervisor.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer background and knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a self-starter, respectful and considerate of clients and coworkers, flexible, and adaptable.
- Desire to see outcome driven processes result in clients completing trainings needed to reach certification and licensing.

Language Skills
- Effective communication in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials, maintain accurate documentation, and respond appropriately to questions and requests.
Transportation
- Must have a reliable motor vehicle for independent transportation, valid driver's license, proof of automotive insurance, and maintain a good driving record. As a condition of continued employment, staff person may be required to submit to periodic re-verification of these background checks. Must submit to and pass annual recertification of compliance with CLUES Automobile and Transportation Policy and driving record check.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common software (e.g., database, reporting, client management systems, etc.).
- Must be willing to attend training to advance technical skills and maintain appropriate skill levels to perform job duties.
