Job Description: Performs routine laboratory tasks/research under supervision of another lab specialist or scientist. Relies on instructions and established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. May be required to work with and around cultured cells, radioactive and/or corrosive chemicals and must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment as required. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs in vitro testing and analysis using various laboratory equipment and instruments. Cultures mammalian/bacterial cells using established laboratory practices and documented procedures. Prepares and analyzes samples utilizing established laboratory practices and documented procedures. Maintains and operates relevant laboratory equipment. May assist with troubleshooting. Maintains daily logs and documents all work in logs or study files, as appropriate Keeps lab equipment, supplies and work areas clean and organized and inventory up to date. Disposes of samples and waste in adherence with strict safety procedures. Prioritizes samples, plans work sequence, and communicates status and results to technicians, scientists and manager. Plays an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace and complies with all applicable safety and health rules and regulations.

Ideal qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
- High School Diploma and 0-2 years of experience. Prefer AS Degree and experience in an analytical laboratory with college level Chemistry courses.
- General working knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Knowledge of basic computer operations including spreadsheets, word processing, and email.
- Familiar with company safety and health policies and programs.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique
