UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Counselor Social Worker 2 to join our School Based Health Clinic. This position is a 10-month (August 2025 - May 2026) 1.0 clinical FTE (5 days a week). We are looking to fill this role by August 2025. As part of our integrated services, this position will provide therapy services to students attending APS schools. Will work with a team that will include, case management, medical provider, medical assistants and psychiatry fellows. Experience with adolescent aged children will be a plus. Location: Primarily Manzano High School Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:45am - 3:45pm Minimum $53,040 - Midpoint $66,291 *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Summary Provides, oversees, and/or administers a wide range of psychosocial evaluation/assessment, diagnostic, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services in a high-intensity clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making and program administration. Leads and trains lower level counselors/social workers, students, and/or interns engaged in related therapeutic/patient care activities, as appropriate to the individual position. Minimum Job Requirements of a Counselor Social Worker 2: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related degree with 1 year directly related experience. Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) OR Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure pending, as documented by temporary license. BLS certification required. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. About the School Based Health Center Program The School-Based Health Center Program provides services in 6 Albuquerque Public Schools. SBHCs provide health care and other services through a multidisciplinary integrated team to adolescents on the campus of the school. This position requires strong teamwork with other SBHC team members including Medical Assistants, Behavioral Health Providers, and Case Managers. The position requires active engagement with the school community to coordinate the provision of care and to promote SBHC services.
