POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (SCA), is seeking a Director, Secure Messaging, Compliance & Security, to join the Global Information Systems & Communications (GISC) organization in Los Angeles, CA. This position will report to the Deputy head of Security and Compliance in GISC and is expected to be a Senior Infrastructure lead responsible for measuring, monitoring, and improving delivery services by managed service providers from offshore and onshore teams. This role will focus on the planning, development, and delivery of industry best practice operational processes and services based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILV4) framework with emphasis on meeting customer expectation, driving service excellence in close working with SONY's strategic suppliers and helping the strategic suppliers meet their contractual obligations. The role is expected to positively impact the overall delivery of information technology services as part of the technology team's IT Infrastructure Services, Strategy, and Mission.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a senior security architect this role is responsible for the design, review, and plan production rollout Sony security tools in Messaging and scope for Security and compliance portfolio. This includes close collaboration with other Sony companies.

  • As a senior Security Architect this role may also provide production support during major security incidents working with Sony Global Security Department.

  • Manage the service provider's delivery done by offshore teams and continuously drive efficiency

  • Effectively direct managed service providers, through service metrics, SLA's, SLR's and enterprise wide KPI's

  • Oversee secure messaging and data governance and adherence against SONY policies.

  • Take ownership of operational relationships between service providers and GISC SONY regions leads with an objective of removing possible obstacles to their satisfaction and / or financial performance.

  • Work with stakeholders to manage the budget, schedules and risks for assigned GISC projects, support and operational activities and services by working closely with offshore service provider management teams

  • Deliver programs including governance, planning (both resources and financial) and management, such as TCO, strategies to deliver value beyond the contract, continuous improvement.

  • Prepare for and participate in formal project reviews with SONY Teams to ensure the deliverables are in compliance with the department goals and requirements.

  • Baseline the scope, services and related performance to ensure value for money on a continual basis.

  • Help drive effective working relationships of offshore teams with SONY global teams and all other IT departments (as needed).

  • Oversee, coach, and mentor service providers for delivery of development, maintenance and software support services for an assigned set of SONY business applications.

  • Facilitate good communication across organizational boundaries around issues and opportunities

  • Conduct exploratory activities to determine how to raise performance levels and recommend changes in Service Level Requirements where appropriate to ensure that they properly reflect business needs, while balancing costs.

  • Prepare and participate in weekly and monthly project review meetings, and post implementation reviews.

  • As a senior security architect this role is responsible for the design, review, and plan production rollout Sony security tools in Messaging and scope for Security and compliance portfolio. This includes close collaboration with other Sony companies.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a Service Management and Customer Facing role is a must

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with Proofpoint, and other similar tools for secure messaging.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with DMARC, and other similar tools for secure messaging.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role - 5+ years of appropriate experience supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery, preferably within a medium/large size organization or responsible for managing such mid/large engagement on the supplier side

  • At least 5+ years of experience of working with 3rd party service providers

  • Senior level Service Management experience and working knowledge of ITIL V4

  • Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills

  • Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations

  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed with strong customer service orientation.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Experience with problem management Root Cause Analysis (RCA) submission and completion

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA

Additional Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange products in Hybrid environment

  • Microsoft Purview products such as, DLP, MIP, eDiscovery, and Data governance.

  • Project/Program Management background

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
