Overview

Are you a dedicated and detail-orientated professional with a passion for quality in manufacturing and engineering? CAES, a leading provider in the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a talented TEMPORARY Quality Engineer to join our team in Woburn, MA. Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibilities include the following tasks:

    • Execute program quality requirements via program quality plans, including AS9102 FAI's.
    • Review and implement methods and procedures for testing and inspecting products and production equipment by collaborating with functional organizations to drive continuous improvement.
    • Analyze reports, data, and returned product to drive root cause and implement correction actions for procedural, product or process opportunities.
    • Provide coaching and leadership to quality engineers, inspectors and other functions.
    • Participate in material review board (MRB), corrective action board (CAB) and production team meetings.
    • Permit effective inspection and testing of materials including AS9102 FAI approval, and other Supplier Quality Related Tasks
    • Perform statistical analysis on products to determine the patterns seen and unseen providing insight to the lifecycle of the product. Initiate correction action for procedural, product or process deficiencies.
    • Participate in training activities and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
    • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities to enhance cross-functional problem solving.

Qualifications

HOW TO SUCCEED

You combine a solid theoretical background in RF/Microwave theory with creative and critical thinking. To join us you'll need:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar Technical discipline and 2 years' experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to visit key suppliers (approx. 5 - 10% travel)
  • Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical experience in SMT, PWB manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, microelectronics, machining, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Aerospace or Defense Experience
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and principles
  • Supplier quality experience
  • Continuous environment experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range: Temporary Quality Engineer: $39.87 - $49.25 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
