Overview

CAES Mission Systems is seeking a Controller IV for either our Lancaster, PA or Lansdale, PA locations. The Controller manages and coordinates accounting functions and financial close, reviews financial reports for accuracy and completeness, directs all aspects of accounting operations, oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements, manages and develops teams to ensure efficient accounting operations. This role allows the ability to work on-site or hybrid schedule from any of these locations with 10% travel.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE; but not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage accounting functions including AR and AP and financial reporting
  • Participate in ongoing activities of integrating CAES into Honeywell including ERP (SAP) implementation
  • Optimize accounting policies, practices and procedures consistent with Company's policies and practices
  • Manage implementation of strong internal business and financial reporting controls for SOX compliance
  • Collaborate with other sites to meet goals of Mission Systems
  • Ensure technical compliance with USGAAP accounting
  • Monitor and analyze financial statements, and provide insights to senior management
  • Oversee Revenue Recognition process under ASC 606
  • Responsible for the oversight of Balance Sheet accounts and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business planning and decision-making
  • Co-ordinate and manage all external and internal audits
  • Handle accounting related USGC compliance matters and assist with rates management
  • Support Mission Systems Special Projects

Qualifications

HOW TO SUCCEED

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting.
  • Six (6)+ years of applicable work experience in Public Accounting or Private Industry
  • Four (4)+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of project or DoD accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and theories
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)

Preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience in the defense industry
  • ERP systems experience, preferably SAP
  • Communicates effectively with peers, internal, and external customers
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment
