Annual Salary: $55,000

Job Summary
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician (Solutions Engineer 3) position is at the Temple University Center City locations. Your responsibilities are diversified, covering several mechanical crafts, including electrical work, carpentry maintenance, touch-up painting, plumbing, and roofing. In addition, duties will include assisting mechanics in larger jobs and moving university equipment and materials. The Maintenance Technician (Solutions Engineer 3) will also perform additional duties such as snow removal, repair/replace outlets, re- lamping, switch repair, ballast replacement, along with plumbing and light carpentry duties.

You will perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* High School diploma and/or equivalent and at least two (2) years directly related experience.

Required Skills and Abilities
*Trash removal, maintenance of grounds, snow removal, security on campus, furniture moving, painting, and cleaning of all storage areas and mechanical rooms.
*Must have a valid US driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and establish guidelines.
*Ability to communicate verbally, by text, and by email.

Essential Functions of the Position
Electrical
*Ability to repair/replace outlets, switches, fuses, ballasts, lights.

HVAC
*Clean/change filters, clean diffusers, change belts, grease motors, etc.

Plumbing
*Ability to repair pipes, fittings, faucets, flushometers, toilets, sinks, drains, etc.
