Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Claim Prep & File - Government Corrected & Secondary Claims

Work Location: Remote or On-Site

Hourly Pay: $17.00

This position is bonus eligible

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hrs/wk, M-F Flex schedule 7am-7pm after training

JOB SUMMARY

• The Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Claim Prep and File - Government Corrected & Secondary Claims Representative specializes in the accurate filing of corrected claims and secondary payor claims with an emphasis on government payors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Collect and compile additional documentation according to payor requirements.
• Work to achieve individual, team, and departmental goals.
• Communicate clearly with compassion and professionalism.
• Focus and adaptability to different personality types.
• Work independently with little direction.
• Define and identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Set priorities and manage time effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

• One (1) year minimum, in healthcare revenue cycle billing environment (medical billing)
• Above average knowledge of government billing guidelines
• Experience filing medical claims with a high rating in clean claim accuracy
• Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level; Word, Excel, Outlook and Office 365

Other Requirements:

• Must have/maintain a HIPAA compliant workspace with both audio and visual protection of patient information
• Must be able to work uninterrupted while on the clock

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in ambulance billing or other emergency billing

Preferred Education:

• High school diploma
• GED
• Or significant, relevant work experience
