Job Overview

The Operational Analytics Lead is essential in aiding the Route Planning team across all areas of Logistics Operations. This role involves training, evaluating processes, and offering expert advice and practical support as needed. Acting as the primary contact for all distribution-related data decisions, the Operational Analytics Lead focuses on improving Route planning efficiencies.

Due to the analytical demands of this position, there is a significant emphasis on identifying opportunities, analyzing results, and providing detailed recommendations for enhancements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enhancing route planning, focusing on data analysis, maintenance and accuracy to optimize outputs. Responsibilities include managing vehicle assignments, time windows, merchandise levels, and other route planning metrics using tools like Power BI, Snowflake/Snowsquall, and SAP/LEO.
  • Responsible for the daily planning of smaller locations, coordinating delivery route trucks using SAP/LEO and other software products such as SharePoint and Teams.
  • Gathering data and facilitating work sessions and data reviews with field partners, including delivery supervisors, distribution managers, ASMs, and DSMs.
  • Oversees departmental performance metrics, providing coaching and training to planners to enhance their skills through process improvements and effective data management.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and SharePoint are preferred.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills, including prioritization, goal setting, decision making and critical thinking.
  • A team-oriented mindset.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience
