Field Equipment Technician you will be responsible for a broad range of mechanical and electronic installation, diagnostics, repair and maintenance activities involving fuel tanks and computer electronics equipment used in supplying and managing our customers' petroleum product needs and maintaining on-board truck computer equipment for the World Kinect Corporation Fleet of delivery trucks. Location: Kansas City, KS Responsibilities
- Take Direction from the Supervisor, Field Equipment Technician
- Assess equipment to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
- Liaise with clients to determine their equipment requirements and communicate any defects of problems.
- Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
- Adhere to company work safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Setup monitors for fuel usage on customers above ground tanks and gas stations.
- Install pumps and monitoring systems on tanks up to 30 thousand gallons.
- Install and repair GPS and PDI equipment for company truck fleet.
- Responsible for maintaining office and company truck inventory Equipment.
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting fuel dispensing systems and related equipment at various locations, including gas stations, businesses, and industrial sites, ensuring their safe and efficient operation by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and adhering to industry regulations and safety standards
- Troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure monitors are in compliance with the established guidelines to ensure proper fuel measurements and usage.
- Coordinate with vendors to do site work when required for customers that sites are outside of commuting area.
- Installing new fuel tanks, pumps, dispensers, and associated components at customer sites.

Travel Requirements
- 90% local
- 10% outside of Kansas City
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Trade School in electronic systems preferred.
Work Experience
- 1+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electronic technical support and service.
- Must have a valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
Preferred qualifications
- Forklift operations
- Customer service background
- Experience performing on-site maintenance
- Availability to work irregular shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Skillful use of various hand tools, wrenches, and specialized equipment for fuel system maintenance.
- Understanding of fuel system mechanics, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and related components.
Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Tank Wagon Meters and Pumping Systems
