The Ideal Candidate

The Junior System Engineer is primarily responsible for routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and support responsibilities within the Platform Systems team. Additionally, the Junior System Engineer will assist in various infrastructure initiatives, while gaining exposure to strategic projects under guidance.

The Junior System Engineer should have foundational knowledge and experience with system administration, advanced troubleshooting, and infrastructure support. Additionally, the Junior System Engineer should have familiarity with Windows, Citrix, Active Directory, VMWare, Endpoint Management, Office 365, and enterprise backup solutions.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks across our systems.
  • Assist with system monitoring, updates, and device management to ensure continuous, secure operations.
  • Identify recurring issues and inefficiencies, recommend areas for automation or further investigation to address potential underlying problems.
  • Support the implementation of automation initiatives and other team projects as directed.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on various assignments, gaining exposure to more complex technical areas.
  • Document processes, procedures, and technical configurations.


Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have

  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues efficiently.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and system administration tasks.
  • Foundational knowledge of system administration and infrastructure support, including hands-on experience with routine maintenance and system monitoring.
  • Familiarity with key platforms and tools such as Windows, Citrix, Active Directory, VMware, Endpoint Management, Office 365, and enterprise backup solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to transform technical knowledge into business language (e.g. reports, presentations, etc.)
  • Requires 24x7 production support and on call rotation.
  • Ability to work successfully with others in large and small teams.
  • Ability to effectively estimate and manage personal workload.
