Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting visual audits of raw materials, components, in-process, and final products to ensure compliance with inspection plans and specifications. This role involves documenting audit results, maintaining inspection equipment, and ensuring product identification and traceability. The inspector collaborates with other departments to address inspection and packaging concerns while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct visual audits of raw materials, components, in-process, and final products per inspection plans and specifications.
  • Document audit results, including reports, logs, re-work, and waste data, and input findings into the quality database.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Perform product identification and traceability activities as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve inspection, final audit, and packaging issues.
  • Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and workplace regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate product shipments in alignment with weekly shipping expectations.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve safety, quality, reliability, and cost-saving efforts.
  • Assist in developing written procedures and training curriculum.
  • Communicate team performance updates to employees and management, providing and receiving feedback.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper organization to prevent loss.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



Must Have:



  • High School diploma/GED required
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in quality inspection preferred
  • 20/20 correctable vision to perform inspection tasks.
  • Ability to work extended hours, overtime, or weekends as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve job-related issues efficiently.
  • Adherence to all quality and safety regulations.
  • Basic math skills may be necessary for understanding and troubleshooting problems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work in varying temperatures, and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.



Good to Have:



  • Experience in a manufacturing or inspection-related role.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and cleanroom requirements.
  • Prior experience in writing procedures and developing training materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain inventory control.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and performance reporting.
