Senior Director - Mental Health Lubbock 40308BR Position Description Manages and directs the day to day operations of a research center/institute or medium sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Major/Essential Functions Demonstrates and aligns with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Values Based Culture and supports Service Plus Philosophy of TTUHSC. Provides supervision and management of Mental Health Clinician's (MHC's) and Senior directors in inpatient services at the Montford Unit. Evaluates clinical/work performance of inpatient MHC's and ensures compliance with related state, local and departmental policies such as American Correctional Association (ACA), Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), and TTUHSC. Ensure communication channels between team and leadership remain open and effective. Exercises caution and is mindful of risk management ramifications while providing services and supervising clinicians. Provides team opportunities for continuous professional development and to ensure that the outpatient team maintains and builds a competent workforce to meet the ever-changing demands of the environment.
