Overview

Na Ali'i is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a member of the Nakupuna Companies executive team responsible for oversight of service delivery. Serve as a driven and effective communicator and leader that works closely with the CEO and Company Presidents to support company growth, increase productivity, support achievement of Nakupuna Companies goals and sustain its corporate culture. The COO will bring strategic vision to the organization and ensure day-to-day operational excellence by providing operational oversight, maintaining and optimizing reporting structures, and ensuring compliance with established company processes and procedures.



Responsibilities

    Collaborate with CEO and Nakupuna Companies executives in setting and driving execution of organizational vision, mission and operational strategy; formalizing challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and profitability; and growing a high-performing organization
  • Drive company results from both an operational, administrative and financial perspectives working closely with the CEO and other key executive team members
  • Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with Nakupuna Companies senior leadership, key clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Oversee service delivery operations and employee productivity, building a highly engaging culture that ensures team members thrive, and organizational outcomes are achieved. Collaborate with Managing Directors to drive effective and efficient operations, ensure effective P&L management, maximize customer satisfaction and achieve established growth and profitability objectives. Analyze internal operations, identify areas for process improvement and leverage best practices across Nakupuna Companies
  • Support development of high performing teams that deliver exceptional products, and reward results with extraordinary impact. Mentor and inspire employees; promote a culture that cultivates and provides opportunities for rising talent within the organization
  • Support development and execution of actionable strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term goals of the organization
  • Engage in business development and opportunity management activities. Support development of service offerings and marketing products. Perform required contract review/approval functions and support stand-up of new projects
  • Work with Shared Services Directors to address support issues of impact to service delivery. Improve processes to ensure successful support of service delivery requirements
  • Perform personnel management functions (e.g., goal setting, performance assessment, mentoring & coaching, recruitment and retention strategies, terminations, etc.) for Managing Directors, and other as required
  • Ensure compliance with company, federal, state, and local policies and regulations


Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in effective oversight of service delivery operations in the GOVCON services space. Proven track record of developing and mentoring leaders and high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance in helping to grow and lead a high-performing organization, and achieving growth, performance and profitability goals.
  • Strong track record in developing business and growing business lines.
  • Exceptional executive presence, business acumen, organizational and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with steadfast resolve, outstanding work ethic; self-driven, collaborative and teamwork oriented. Displays passion and optimism.
  • Experience in more than one of our lines of business preferred.
  • Broad knowledge in HR and federal contracting regulations, corporate compliance, and corporate finance.
  • Resourceful problem solver. Ability to analyze and interpret data and metrics, diagnose problems quickly and anticipate potential issues.
  • Strong ethical values and commitment to transparency. Trustworthy and reliable. Inspires respect and trust and mobilizes others to fulfill the vision/mission.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to create work products while also coaching and developing others in producing high-quality work products.
  • Strong track record of identifying and developing leaders.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field. MBA desirable.
  • 7-10 years of executive level experience. Prior experience operating as a COO preferable.
  • Government or military experience is strongly preferred; must have supported military organization.
