In this role, you will provide peer support services by serving as a consumer advocate, providing information and support for consumers in inpatient and outpatient settings, and assisting consumers in regaining control over their own lives through the recovery process. Your duties will involve collaboration with peer mentors, other hospital staff, family and community members, and other advocates to assist consumers in self-identifying personal goals for recovery, determining steps to reach recovery goals, and providing an environment of mutual respect, empowerment, and opportunities within their communities. In addition, you will provide information on public services, educational opportunities, employment/vocational skills support, as well as actively listening to and advocating with consumers reflectively to recognize their strengths and recovery options.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime as required and subject to emergency call in.
