Requisition ID# 163745 Job Category: Administrative / Clerical Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Electric Engineering Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Oakland Electric Distribution Engineering Innovative Design Solutions Intern Department Overview The hardworking coworkers of Electric Engineering ensure all manners of electric engineering-including electric standards and process safety, electric design engineering, instrumentation testing and controls, undergrounding, electric regulatory compliance and electric investment planning-are in place to safely enable a strategic and stable workplan for our Electric Operations partners. Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers. Position Summary The Innovative Design Solutions team creates and supports tools for the engineers to use to design and estimate project work to be done by the construction crews. These tools are also used to field job locations and to review and approve designs and projects before submitting them to the construction organization. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for a bachelor's degree ranges from $24.52 to $29.81 and for a master's degree is $35.37. The successful intern will have the opportunity to participate in activities as described above working with a team of experienced estimators and IT professionals. Additionally, the intern will gain knowledge of electric distribution assets, engineering design & calculations and estimating projects through the work they will be performing.
