Be an integral part of WEX's monthly, quarterly and annual forecast and budget processes. Lead the preparation and analysis of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Collaborate with peers within the finance organization and cross-functionally. Ensure that all financial reports are issued timely and accurately. Communicate with internal customers regarding their requests for financial information. Partner with Corporate Accounting to analyze monthly results in order to ensure an accurate and timely close. Improve current reporting processes through automation or process changes. Direct preparation of budgets, reviews and budget proposals, and ensure the plan is consistent with expectations while keeping in mind the company's strategic objectives. Prepare budget presentations for Senior Management and the Board of Directors. Coordinate and produce a full monthly financial forecast and analysis report including matrix reporting for presentation to Senior Management. Assist in analysis and preparation of financial information for quarterly earnings communications to the Board of Directors and investment community. Be a key thought leader of the North American Fleet team, influencing decision making and identifying finance priorities. Identify areas of financial risk and opportunities to the company. Maintain an awareness of global economic trends that affect the company such as growth rates, interest rates, exchange rates and fuel prices. Support M&A activity with regards to due diligence and integration of new acquisitions. Partner with accounting, treasury, tax as appropriate. Lead and implement ad-hoc projects and analysis as necessary.
Experience you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 3+ years financial analysis experience, preferably at the corporate level of a publicly traded company. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
