Manager I, Testing Center
Overview The Testing Center Manager reports to the Associate Dean for Educational Assessment and Evaluation and provides leadership in planning and overseeing operations for the Waitzer Hall Testing Center. This role is responsible for supervising the proctors, scheduling exams, registering examinees, procuring National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) exams, managing supply purchases, and tracking Testing Center-related expenses. The Testing Center Manager ensures the effectiveness of policies, systems, and procedures to uphold secure, fair, equitable, and efficient testing practices. They analyze and report data to support program improvement and accreditation efforts, collaborate with IT to maintain and enhance testing technology, and coordinate exam accommodations for students with approved exemptions. Additionally, this role stays current on best practices in exam security, ensuring all exams are administered smoothly, securely, and in compliance with institutional policies, Testing Center guidelines, and testing sponsors such as the NBME. The Testing Center Manager also supports educational scholarship initiatives and provides training to the campus community on Testing Center policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, systems, and procedures for Testing Center operations in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and vision.
Qualifications Master's degree is highly preferred for this position. Prior years' of experience in a student testing environment. Must be proficient with MS Outlook. Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and Internet. Location : Location US-VA-Norfolk |
