DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will be responsible for custodial care and services of the buildings, facilities, and grounds at Fort Indiantown Gap. Your duties will include maintaining cleanliness of offices, lobbies, hallways, floors, restrooms, and other required areas. You can expect to dispose of waste and separate waste materials into the appropriate containers or dumpster. You will also maintain knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade in order to complete tasks safely. Additionally, you will move furniture, shovel snow, maintain walkways, and perform other duties as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and weekends.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform repetitive motions: reach, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, walk, climb stairs and stand on hard surfaces.
  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Class C driver's license
