Responsibilities The Director of Healthcare Informatics is directly responsible for the planning, developing and executing of clinical related programs in health care informatics for physicians and their patients, as well as general clinical information needs to support Norton Healthcare's strategy, service lines and outreach initiatives. Develops and directs programs to provide clinical information to improve the work-flow of patient care. The director of healthcare informatics is primarily focused on, but not limited to, deploying and supporting a fully electronic medical record in all employed and affiliated physician practices and Norton hospitals; design of and tracking of metrics, including reimbursement initiatives; develops and leads NHC telemedicine initiatives; serves as a liaison between physicians and information services.
