Nurse Supervisor - Allergy and Immunologic Clinic ADT Allergy BayF Full Time 83995BR Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, guided by the policies and procedures of Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with physician staff, the Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care within the Allergy/Immunology and Bayfront Specialty Clinics. The supervisor works with physician leadership and the Nurse Manager in setting and accomplishing annual goals. The supervisor works with staff to develop, monitor and maintain systems pertaining to all aspects of nursing care and clerical support for the practice. Supervises all clerical and administrative staff, facilitating positive interaction among staff, patients, and other departments within the Medical Center. In the supervisory role, they work to establish and promote teamwork among practice staff. The Supervisor ensures a safe environment for patients and staff. The Supervisor is clinically competent at the CN III level. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $151,600 - $241,800 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description The Allergy and Immunologic (AI) Clinic evaluates and treats patients with a variety of allergic conditions which include: asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, rashes, food allergy, drug hypersensitivity, and bee sting allergy. AI also cares for patients with: immune deficiencies, frequent infections and inflammatory diseases of other types. Complete skin testing and injection therapy for allergies are available. The Bayfront Specialty Clinics include cardiology, pulmonary, dermatology, and primary care. Our dedicated and caring physicians strive to provide the highest quality care in a timely manner. Required Qualifications Two years RN experience in a charge or lead role Bachelor's in Nursing Prior experience in an outpatient environment Demonstrated skills to effectively supervise clinicians and to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with a clinic(s) / center(s). Strong knowledge of practice operations. In depth knowledge of patient care clinical standards and care delivery, systems, external regulations, and internal policies. Strong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaborations and problem solving with all levels of management, staff, consultants, and outside agencies. Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, and to convey complex clinical and technical information in a clear and concise manner.
