JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to plan, direct, or coordinate operations and functionalities of facilities and buildings. May include surrounding grounds or multiple facilities of the organization's campus.
Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities):
Dispose of, or oversee the disposal of, surplus or unclaimed property. Manage leasing of facility space. Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. Oversee construction and renovation projects to improve efficiency and to ensure that facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards, and comply with government regulations. Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems. Participate in architectural and engineering planning and design, including space and installation management. Plan, administer, and control budgets for contracts, equipment, and supplies. Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards. Supervise the activities of the Facilities Coordinator. Coordinate JC, EOC activities associated with Utilities Management, life safety, SOC, ILSM, Construction IC. Assist in the development of and maintain updates of procedure manuals, policy manuals and documentation of activities for compliance with JC and other regulatory bodies. Maintain Facilities budgeting and environmental facilities files. Maintain the departmental UKG system.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Progressive experience in management of facilities operation, 5-7 years required. Experience working in a hospital setting 2-3 years preferred. Journeyman Electrician State License preferred. Master Plumber State License preferred. Knowledge and background in all aspects of Plant Operations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, work order and building automation systems). Computer proficiency required, Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software. Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population. Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team. Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them. High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations. Attention to detail.
