The In-Field Sales Trainer is a resource for all sales consultants and field management. The position will be responsible for increasing the breadth of training and support to ensure Morton Buildings remains the preferred builder of choice for our customers. The In-Field Sales Trainer should conduct ongoing training for all skill levels, including basic sales skills, as well as advanced sales techniques.

This role will require routine 1:1 in person training with our sales team company-wide and through our Fundamentals training program, both in the classroom and online. 60% travel based work is expected in this role.

Essential Functions



  • Provides training and mentoring of Sales Consultants while following established training standards and schedule; focusing on application of general sales techniques, utilization of CRM, and engagement with design and project management teams.
  • Drives project profitability by ensuring a high quality, accurate presentation to the customer; including capturing an accurate scope of work through collaboration with local sales consultants on larger complex projects.
  • Supports the organization by communicating changes in market trends, performance concerns, and other general observations; identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales experience
  • Ability to maintain updated technical knowledge of CRM, Customer Select, and Morton U in alignment with established training standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
  • Self-motivated, positive high energy work ethic and integrity
  • Team player
