What You'll Do/ A Day In The Life Typically Includes

* Order & Credit Management: The job will involve approving orders, managing new account approvals, and conducting ongoing credit reviews to ensure the company's financial health.

* Handling Sensitive Accounts: You'll manage sensitive accounts and help resolve any outsourced risk accounts (accounts that may be high risk due to issues like unpaid bills or financial instability).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):

* Order & Shipment Management: Review customer orders daily and release orders for shipment.

* Credit Assessment: Assess customer creditworthiness using external tools and reports.

* Collection Analysis: Prepare weekly collection analysis and key metrics.

* Financial Decision-Making: Analyze financial statements of major customers to make decisions regarding customer terms and credit availability.

* Debt Management: Identify and mitigate bad debt or financial exposure.

* Documentation: Record daily collections activity and review weekly credit hold reports.

* Customer Interaction: Participate in conference calls with customers to discuss accounts, issues, and resolutions.

* Collaboration: Work with various internal teams (A/R, Sales, Operations) to resolve issues and communicate effectively with external customers.

* Risk Monitoring: Regularly monitor customer behavior to identify risk factors for uncollectible accounts.

* Legal Assistance: Coordinate with legal teams on judgments, lawsuits, bankruptcies, and other legal matters.

* Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while maintaining relationships and responding to inquiries.

* Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures.

* Advanced Research: Conduct research for advanced placements and use skip tracing for past-due customers.

* Collection Activities: Perform proactive collection actions for at-risk customers.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear and frequently be required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and lift/move up to 10 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close vision to view PC/CRT.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (or equivalent experience).

* 3-5 years experience as a credit analyst.

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

* Ability to work in a team, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
