About the Department
Students graduating from the Georgia State University, Perimeter College School of Nursing receive an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. The Nursing Program is approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and has full accreditation by ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc.). Graduates of this program are eligible to take the NCLEX examination for Registered Nurses. New students are accepted into the Nursing Program by way of special admission procedures, which have additional requirements.
Position Description
Instructor/ Assistant Professor (tenure track): The School of Nursing, Perimeter College, located in Clarkston, GA invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position. The responsibilities in this 10- month tenure track position will include teaching in our associate degree program and participating in scholarly activities. Other responsibilities include student advisement and mentoring, as well as involvement in school, university and community service. Administrative duties may include clinical management, grant funding, and accreditation support.
Required Experience
Instructor (tenure-track): A minimum of two years of nursing practice experience and teaching experience.
Assistant Professor (tenure-track): Terminal degree in nursing or other related field and a minimum of two years of nursing practice and teaching experience.
Required Education
Master's degree in nursing or related field at the time of appointment.
