ICM Systems Consultant
The Assistant Vice President, ICM Systems Consultant is responsible for supporting the ICM Systems Manager with management of the Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) Sales Performance Management System, including programming, report building, plan set-up and maintenance, issue resolution, release and project management and general production support, and testing and coordination of organizational efforts with ICM impact. This role is a single incumbent position supporting all ICM incentive plan processing across multiple lines of business. Success incumbents possess technical proficiency in Excel and SQL, and strong attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities:
System Support
- Reviews, evaluates, and documents production support issues; troubleshoots and prepares recommendations.
- Coordinates the prioritization and resolution of production support tickets.
- Implements low to moderate complex incentive plan models for existing and new incentive plans including:
- Develop, build, and maintain incentive calculations.
- Build and maintain components, data and rate tables including custom/structural/data tables.
- Configure, build, and maintain workflows and portal access groups.
- Configure and build Varicent ad hoc queries.
- Use Scheduler in Varicent to schedule jobs.
- Creates and executes test transactions for production support issue resolution.
- Uses analytical skills to review business processes and make recommendations for effectiveness and accuracy.
- Evaluates new compensation components, determines business rules and calculations that apply, prepares documentation.
Project Management Support
- Supports technical projects including project initiation, plan development, execution, and status reporting.
- Contributes to requirements and design documentation.
- Develops, deploys, and trains on test plans.
- Assists with communications and training materials for administrators and end users.
Data Management, Documentation & Reporting
- Prepares and maintains current procedure and process documentation.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to develop data and business requirements to support incentive plan processing.
- Works with Incentive Compensation Consultants, vendors, and others to develop and maintain reporting.
- Performs trend analysis, modeling of plan design changes, stress testing and related activities.
- Supports auditing of incentive compensation plans and rules reflected in payout calculations, collects system control information, completes SOC reports and supports related requests.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience
- 4 years of experience working with relational databases and report writing
- 4 years of experience analyzing data to identify, investigate and manage solutions to align technology solutions and business objectives
- 4 years of project management experience
- 4 years of experience working with word processing and spreadsheet software experience (i.e., Access, Word, Excel) including writing documentation that describes installation and operating procedures and the ability to write complex formulas and calculations
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position includes onsite and remote work days.
