What You'll Do:

  • Proactively work with key suppliers on capacity planning and forward-looking inventory management programs to address potential supply assurance risks.
  • Collaborate with department managers to clarify purchase requirements, identify plant consumption needs and trends and place orders to procure those materials.
  • Determine the correct method to process purchasing depending on total cost, timeliness, competitive bidding, and existing contracts.
  • Identify and select vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quality, price and delivery date.
  • Make purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Process purchasing transactions according to local, state, and federal policies and procedures.
  • Input data such as purchase orders and/or receiving into Utz system.
  • Track and report on key metrics to reduce waste and improve procurement.
  • Communicate pending tasks to suppliers and internal customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor raw material inventories with Utz manufacturing, co-packers, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Assist with Inter-Utz warehouse auditing, cycle counting, and organization.
  • Ability to work in multi-functional department.
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or planning-ideally in the CPG, food, or beverage industry.
  • Strong experience in Supplier Development, including problem-solving and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced computer skills and a knack for analyzing data to drive better decision-making.
