Job Description

Benefits:

Salary:

$110,000 - $125,000 + 10% Bonus Target

Summary:

The Engineering Manager oversees and optimizes the operations of a manufacturing facility. They serve as leaders in ensuring that the machinery, equipment, processes, and systems within the manufacturing facility operate efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the machinery, equipment, and systems within the manufacturing facility are well-maintained and operate efficiently. This includes conducting routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers and production teams to identify areas for process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction. Implement improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment and operational issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to the production process, often with the assistance of Process Engineers.
  • Ensure all operations and equipment adhere to safety regulations and standards. Implement safety protocols and guidelines to minimize workplace hazards and ensure team compliance.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects related to the manufacturing facility's operations, including the installation of new equipment or process modifications. Coordinate with Process Engineers in project execution.
  • Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to maintain and enhance product quality. Identify defects and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Process Engineers.
  • Manage the plant's budget and control expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and capital projects, in consultation with Process Engineers.
  • Ensure the manufacturing facility complies with environmental regulations and promotes sustainable and eco-friendly practices, with input and support from Process Engineers.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, equipment specifications, and other relevant data. Ensure that Process Engineers also maintain records pertinent to their responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing settings.
  • Management experience
  • Track record of successfully overseeing complex engineering projects.
  • Process Engineering experience is also valuable.
