We have an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Coastal Engineer in our Sarasota, FL office. If you are looking for the opportunity to work on exciting, high-profile projects, have the satisfaction and security of working at a 100% employee-owned company, then GRAEF is the place for you!

Responsibilities include:



  • Work with the coastal experts across GRAEF offices, completing design calculations for coastal engineering projects such as seawall design, beach nourishment, coastal structures, coastal restoration, drainage and flood control and coastal impact assessments.
  • Conduct field work including inspection and observations.
  • Professional society involvement and attendance at professional conferences and summits.


We are considering Entry Level Coastal Engineer candidates who meet the following basic qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering or related field.
  • Master's Degree in relatable studies, or minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Coastal engineering technical skills in coastal processes a plus.
  • Design experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
