Could you be the Methods Engineer we're looking for?

Your future role Take on a new challenge as a Methods Engineer, where you will be instrumental in defining and validating the detailed manufacturing processes for new products, as well as creating industrial documentation. You will define industrial master data and establish manufacturing method times while driving continuous improvement actions during the serial phase. Your responsibilities will span various domains, including ERP routings and the development of work and inspection instructions.

We'll look to you for:



  • Contributing ideas to the Process Engineer or PIM to enhance product manufacturability and meet QCD targets.
  • Participating in product design reviews as necessary.
  • Collaborating on Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA) and validating prototypes.
  • Requesting tooling as needed and writing detailed tooling specifications.
  • Ensuring optimal EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and ergonomic conditions.
  • Performing task sequencing for workstations and calculating accurate method times.
  • Industrializing retrofit processes following engineering changes to include routings, work instructions, and tooling.
  • Leading continuous process improvement initiatives and acting as a champion for Alstom Performance System (APSYS).

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing or related fields.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% for work.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in the railway industry.
  • Technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering and experience in writing manufacturing work instructions and line balancing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) for managing Bill of Materials, routings, and configuration follow-up.
  • Understanding of Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of common tools in the industry.
  • Familiarity with Process FMEA and QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control).
  • Experience with time analysis methodologies (MTM, MEK, UAS).



Education:



  • A verifiable high school diploma is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related engineering field is strongly preferred, particularly in Industrial or Process Engineering.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
