The Biotechnology Undergraduate Program ( https://biotech.rutgers.edu/) in the Department of Plant Biology at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University invites applicants for a Non-Tenure Track Teaching Instructor position (CY) on the New Brunswick/Cook Campus for starting July 1, 2025. Primary responsibility for the successful candidate will be teaching Biotechnology curriculum courses and performing academic advising for students. The successful candidate will report to the Undergraduate Program Director in Biotechnology and the Department Chair in Plant Biology, and will be required to advise students, administer and instruct courses associated with the Biotechnology curriculum, including those with laboratory sections, on the Rutgers campus.
Anticipated instructional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, course titles of, Molecular Genetics Laboratory, Methods and Applications in Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics. This position requires a PhD Degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline. Sufficient knowledge of genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry and genomic analysis of microbes, animal and plant cells and the associated laboratory techniques is necessary to convey principles in lectures and connect lecture components to laboratory exercises.

Minimum Education and Experience
