DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position requires skilled work in various trades. You will perform tasks related to repairing and maintaining machinery, buildings, bridges, and equipment to ensure public safety. You need journeyman-level knowledge and proficiency in carpentry, welding, masonry, electrical work, and plumbing. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining and repairing structures, drainage culverts, bridges, and roadway infrastructure.
This involves building forms, pouring and finishing concrete, welding metal support structures, and replacing parts. You will also measure, cut, and install pipes, netting, and materials for grates, inlets, and bridge decking. You will operate a variety of construction equipment, including arc welders, MIG welders, pipe threaders, concrete saws, chainsaws, air compressors, hammer drills, jackhammers, de-scalers, generators, pumps, and various hand and power tools. Additionally, you will perform carpentry work to update and maintain buildings. This includes constructing shelving, partitions, and signs and installing or repairing drop ceilings, doors, and flooring using power saws, drills, and hand tools. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
