Preferred Qualifications |
Preference will be given to candidates with experience providing information technology support and technology training within a large, diverse organization. Familiarity with service desk workflows, ticket management systems and project management principles are a plus. |
Position Summary |
The Digital Support Associate is a full-time position who serves on a team of College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences IT staff who provide support, guidance, and training on web and web-related communication technologies, empowering faculty and staff to create engaging and accessible digital output. The associate is responsible for helping clients find the right platforms to reach their audience(s), creating and publishing digital content, and meeting accessibility standards, among additional related responsibilities. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to teach and speak to groups. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in client support and technical problem-solving. Experience creating digital content such as web, audio, video, webinar, etc.
- Adaptability to new tools and responsibilities. A quick and eager learner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of digital content best practices and accessibility standards.
- Experience administering software like WordPress, Canva, FinalCut, DubBot, MailChimp, etc.
- Experience in higher ed or other educational contexts.
