Summary

Directs and coordinates administrative, financial, technology, and risk management operations across multiple corporations

with 1,400+ team members. Responsible for strategic financial leadership, development of operational strategy, metrics-

driven performance management, and control systems. Ensures compliance with GAAP, CARF standards, and multiple

regulatory frameworks. Provides strategic counsel to CEO, executive leadership team, and Boards of Directors, while

embracing and demonstrating Palmetto Goodwill's Culture and Core Values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Executive Advisory



  • Serves as trusted advisor to CEO and executive team on financial strategy and business operations
  • Leads development and execution of organizational strategy and initiatives
  • Develops and presents strategic recommendations to Board Finance Committee
  • Drives data-informed decision making through financial modeling and analysis
  • Creates and maintains sophisticated financial models for multiple business scenarios
  • Manages relationships with Board Finance Committee and provides regular updates
  • Fosters an inclusive, high-performance culture across finance and technology teams


Financial Management & Analysis



  • Participates as a member of the executive leadership team.
  • Directs accounting operations and financial reporting across 3+ corporations
  • Implements and maintains robust financial controls and compliance frameworks
  • Oversees monthly/quarterly reporting (MORs) and performance analysis
  • Develops exception reporting and analytics using Power BI and modern tools
  • Leads capital vs. operating expense analysis and decision-making
  • Manages complex budgeting process across multiple business units
  • Oversees payroll operations and compensation philosophy development
  • Conducts sophisticated financial modeling for strategic initiatives
  • Implements automated financial analysis and reporting systems


Strategic Financing & Treasury



  • Oversees issuance of financial information
  • Develops and executes comprehensive financing strategies
  • Manages bond issuance and debt financing initiatives
  • Cultivates and maintains banking partner relationships and sponsorships
  • Oversees cash management and investment strategies
  • Negotiates and structures complex financial transactions
  • Manages capital structure and financing alternatives
  • Ensures optimal returns on organizational investments


Risk Management & Compliance



  • Manages multiple concurrent audit processes (internal and external)
  • Ensures compliance with various regulatory frameworks
  • Develops and maintains enterprise risk management framework
  • Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues to leadership
  • Works collaboratively with external auditors
  • Maintains appropriate controls and documentation
  • Oversees insurance and risk transfer strategies
  • Ensures data privacy and protection compliance


Technology & Systems Leadership



  • Provides executive oversight of IT infrastructure and systems
  • Leads implementation of financial and operational technologies
  • Drives adoption of Power BI and advanced analytics tools
  • Ensures robust disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Oversees cybersecurity initiatives and compliance
  • Manages digital transformation projects
  • Evaluates and implements new financial technologies


Team & Culture Leadership



  • Builds and develops high-performing teams across multiple functions
  • Implements and manages return-to-work policies
  • Creates framework for surfacing and addressing team concerns
  • Manages conflict resolution and team dynamics
  • Promotes collaborative problem-solving culture
  • Ensures effective cross-functional communication
  • Develops succession planning and talent development strategies


Stakeholder Management



  • Manages complex stakeholder relationships across multiple entities
  • Leads communication with Board Finance Committee
  • Maintains relationships with banking partners and sponsors
  • Manages relationships with external auditors and regulators
  • Participates in strategic partnerships and M&A activities
  • Develops financial plans and provides internal training as needed to meet the needs of internal department and external funding organizations consistent with the mission of Palmetto Goodwill


Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manages Controller, IT Director, and finance leadership team. Responsible for overall direction,

coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the

organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training, addressing

issues, and resolving problems.
