Position Summary

The Procedures & Training Coordinator provides assistance to station management in establishing, maintaining and tracking station training plan. The position supports the performance metrics of the station, paying particular attention to trends and searching for procedural and training improvement opportunities. The Procedures & Training Coordinator coordinates and facilitates the reviews, updates and revisions of the Stations procedures. The Procedures and Training Coordinator establishes necessary technical training, testing and retraining programs and materials for all job classifications at the station.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop simulator training
  • The design, implementation, and administration site specific training procedure that establishes the job specific qualification and retraining requirements,
  • Prepare requests for proposal of technical training programs that are to be contracted.
  • Receiving and analyzing proposals, consulting with station staff and department staff, and recommending selection of contractors to Station Managers.
  • Coordinates with the RRE Training groups to establish all necessary technical training requirements
  • Establish and administer a documented qualification program guide for each job classification.
  • Assist station management in establishing, maintaining and tracking the annual training plan.
  • Validates Contractors working on site meet their annual training requirements and specific qualifications.
  • Site specific onboarding of contractors.
  • Facilitate development, review and approvals of all Site procedures
  • Ensures procedures enforce and comply with Regulator requirements and Environmental Health and Safety standards.
  • Supports site management in ensuring standards are maintained on a day-to-day basis.
  • Serves as liaison between Station Management and Local Community organizations.
  • Responsible for Training Qualifications and Procedures for 3 sites. Will be assigned to one location and expected to occasionally travel to the other sites which are located between 1 and 3 hours away.
  • Develop weekly and monthly reports on training and qualification status.
  • Work with RRE organization for development and implementation of site-specific procedures.
Required/Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree
  • 5 years' work-related experience
  • In lieu of associate's degree and 5 years work related experience listed above, High School/GED and 9 years work experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years' work-related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills including ability to use various applications
  • Effective communicate skills, both oral and written
  • Detailed working knowledge of the overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Understand the Systematic Approach to Training Process
  • In depth understanding of procedure and program development.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to track and manage metrics with target actuals.
  • Demonstrate project management skills to develop innovative, creative ideas to address complex concerns, and problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to influence and provide direction to team members and to advise management of team members performance and project status.
  • Understanding and application of adult learning theory and ADDIE.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and work independently without the need of close supervision but can also function well in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Performs work in an office environment
  • Required to observe work in all areas of the power plant, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity.
  • May be required to climb ladders and stairs at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend or squat.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use and reach with hands, arms and fingers.
  • There is potential exposure to high stress situations and requirement to be available for emergency response as required.
  • Requires travel approximately 15% and potential overnight stays
