Purpose:

Assist in the development of Type I, II, Ill & IV CAPEX cost estimates and OPEX cost estimates for projects. These estimates may include engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication, transport, installation, hook-up & commissioning, OPEX and abandonment.

Responsibilities:



  • Train in Project Services functions including Cost Estimating, Cost Control and Scheduling
  • Support the execution of Cost Estimating, Cost Control and Scheduling deliverables on assigned projects
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Teams while directly interfacing with the Project Management and Project Controls groups.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance if required.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental requirements of Industrial Engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with construction or process industry preferred.
  • Exposure to estimating and/or scheduling software as part of training/educational courses preferred.
  • Programming experience and ability to deliver a new tool or enhancement over the summer session.
  • Flexible and willing to work on a variety of different energy and chemical projects both in office and remotely with leads around the country.

  • Some knowledge of technical and practical relevant engineering skills.
  • Some knowledge of the basic requirements of relevant engineering.
  • Developing skills in relevant engineering specific software.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office.
