Quality Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Performs quality audit/inspections for incoming finished products at Riverbend
• Performs pre-inspections for products that are going out to customers when requested.
• Inspect product returns for quality issues to verify claim and customer observations using Salesforce.
• Review all material in Q-Hold status at Riverbend and work with respective parties to determine the disposition of the material.
• Perform layups on rubber products.
• Provide updates on the outcomes of the inspections to the Claims Department or the Customer Service or Claims Department when requested.
• Document all inspection activities in SharePoint.
• Creating and updating reports in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Travel to other locations in NW Georgia
• Perform all tasks assigned by supervisor/manager
• Perform all repair related tasks including but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Running the repair table
  • Chalking and cleaning carpet rolls
  • Driving a Pole PIT
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Candidate must have high school diploma, GED, or Associate Degree.
• Candidate should have a basic understanding of measuring tools and how to read them.
• Candidate should have basic understanding on how to operate a computer.
• Must pass Color Blindness and Color Deficiency test.
• Must be available for overtime.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing areas
• Wearhouse areas (unheated or cooled)
• High visibility required areas

Qualifications:

• Proficient using SAP.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Rubber products.
• Previously worked in a quality position.
• Familiar with using analytical and inspection equipment such as a gloss meter, feeler gage, calipers, etc.
